2027: APC Names Arabinrin Aderonke National Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Arabinrin Aderonke Atoyebi as a member of its 2027 National Campaign Council, where she will serve as Coordinating Secretary, Media/Strategic Communications III.

Her appointment was contained in the membership list of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council released on Saturday, August 22, 2026, by the presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga.

The campaign council comprises prominent party chieftains, professionals and political stakeholders assigned to various positions across the campaign structure as the party prepares for the 2027 presidential election.

Aderonke brings extensive experience in journalism, strategic communications, policy and public affairs to the council. She was a 2013 laureate of the Wole Soyinka Investigative Reporting Award and a finalist at the 2016 CNN African Journalist Award.

She is also an author and policy adviser, with professional affiliations including the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Reacting to her appointment, Aderonke described the nomination as a new responsibility and expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in her.

She said she was honoured by the opportunity to contribute her experience, energy and commitment to the success of the APC.

“This is a call to service, and I embrace it with humility, responsibility and a clear understanding of the task ahead,” she said.

Aderonke pledged to approach the assignment with dedication and called for unity and renewed commitment among members of the party.

“Forward together. Renewed hope, renewed commitment,” she added.

Her appointment strengthens the APC’s media and strategic communications team as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The campaign council includes notable figures from the political, media, security and strategic communications sectors, reflecting the party’s effort to establish a broad-based campaign structure ahead of the presidential contest.
